Reacher Season 4 Cast, New Characters, Plot and Episode Schedule

Reacher Season 4 is now streaming exclusively on Prime Video. The first three episodes premiered on August 12, 2026, with one new episode arriving every Wednesday through the September 16 finale. The new season surrounds Reacher with a largely fresh cast. Sydelle Noel plays Philadelphia detective Tamara Green, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette plays police officer Jacob Merrick, and Karen Kwong-Chip appears as Anna Merrick, the woman whose death begins the investigation. AGNEZ MO, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan and Kathleen Robertson also play important characters connected to the case.

Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher

Alan Ritchson returns as Jack Reacher, the former military police investigator whose imposing size often attracts attention before his analytical ability does. Reacher observes behavior, language and physical evidence with the same intensity.

Season 4 places him in a conspiracy that requires patience and judgment as much as physical force. After witnessing a disturbing incident on a Philadelphia subway, Reacher refuses to accept the simplest explanation and begins investigating the people connected to the victim.

Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green

Sydelle Noel plays Tamara Green, a detective with the Philadelphia Police Department. Green becomes involved in the investigation after Anna Merrick dies on the subway. She initially has to determine whether Reacher is a witness, a suspect or someone who knows more than he is admitting.

Noel is best known for playing Cherry Bang in GLOW. She has also appeared in Black Panther, Arrow and Shimmer Lake.

Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette as Jacob Merrick

Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, credited by Prime Video as Chris Marquette, plays Jacob Merrick. Jacob is a police officer and Anna Merrick’s brother. His personal connection to Anna makes him an important part of Reacher’s attempt to understand what happened to her.

Jay Baruchel was originally announced for the role but left the production because of a personal matter. Rodriguez-Marquette replaced him and appears as Jacob in the completed season. The actor is known for Barry, Joan of Arcadia and Fanboys.

Karen Kwong-Chip as Anna Merrick

Karen Kwong-Chip plays Anna Merrick, the distressed subway passenger Reacher encounters at the beginning of the season. Her death becomes the event that pulls him into the wider conspiracy.

Anna is more than an anonymous victim used to start the story. Her family, movements and possible access to sensitive information become central questions in the investigation. Kwong-Chip is also known for Son of the Preacher and Terror Comes Knocking: The Marcela Borges Story.

AGNEZ MO as Lila Hoth

Indonesian singer and actress AGNEZ MO plays Lila Hoth. Lila arrives in Philadelphia with her mother and claims to have a personal connection to politician John Sampson. Her story becomes connected to the information Reacher is trying to uncover.

AGNEZ MO began performing as a child and became one of Indonesia’s most successful recording artists. She has also worked as an actress, television presenter and talent-show judge.

Anggun as Amisha Hoth

Anggun plays Amisha Hoth, Lila’s mother. Amisha accompanies her daughter to Philadelphia as they search for answers about Lila’s biological father. Their arrival adds another layer to the political and personal mystery surrounding the case.

Anggun is an Indonesian-French recording artist known internationally for songs such as “Snow on the Sahara.” She has also appeared as a judge and panelist on several international television programs.

Kevin Weisman as Russell Plum

Kevin Weisman plays Russell Plum, an investigative journalist who has been watching a suspected intelligence operation. His research may help Reacher understand why powerful people are interested in Anna and the information she allegedly possessed.

Weisman is widely recognized for playing Marshall Flinkman in Alias. His other television credits include Marvel’s Runaways, Fringe and Goliath.

Marc Blucas as John Sampson

Marc Blucas plays John Sampson, a powerful politician whose past becomes connected to the season’s central mystery. Reacher must determine whether Sampson is hiding criminal activity, protecting someone or being targeted because of information from his earlier life.

Blucas is known for playing Riley Finn in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. More recently, he appeared as George Walter in My Life with the Walter Boys.

Kevin Corrigan as Shaun Docherty

Kevin Corrigan plays Shaun Docherty, a Philadelphia detective who works alongside Tamara Green. Docherty is one of the first law-enforcement figures involved after the subway incident.

Corrigan has appeared in films and television series including The Departed, Seven Psychopaths, Fringe and Poker Face.

Kathleen Robertson as Elsbeth Sampson

Kathleen Robertson plays Elsbeth Sampson, John Sampson’s wife. As Reacher’s investigation moves closer to her husband, Elsbeth becomes part of the political and family conflict surrounding the case.

Robertson is known for playing Clare Arnold in Beverly Hills, 90210. Her other credits include Bates Motel, Murder in the First and The Expanse.

What Is Reacher Season 4 About?

The season begins when Reacher encounters Anna Merrick on a Philadelphia subway. He notices that she is distressed and recognizes behavioral signs suggesting that the situation could be dangerous. When the encounter ends tragically, Reacher is pulled into a case involving sensitive information, political influence and ruthless enemies.

Gone Tomorrow is built around uncertainty. Reacher knows something is wrong, but nearly every institution and person involved controls only part of the truth. The television adaptation combines an urban investigation with political pressure, military history and conflicting accounts of Anna’s actions.

Which Book Is Season 4 Based On?

Season 4 adapts Gone Tomorrow, published in 2009 as the thirteenth main Jack Reacher novel. The book opens on a New York subway and quickly develops into a layered political investigation.

The television adaptation moves much of the action to Philadelphia and changes some supporting characters. Reading the novel is not necessary before watching, and readers should expect changes to the setting, pacing and order in which information is revealed.

Is Frances Neagley in Reacher Season 4?

Maria Sten’s Frances Neagley is not part of the principal Season 4 cast announced by Prime Video. Instead, Sten will lead the separate Neagley series, which is scheduled to arrive on Prime Video on September 16, 2026, the same day as the Reacher Season 4 finale.

Is Reacher Season 5 Confirmed?

Yes. Prime Video renewed Reacher for Season 5 before the fourth season premiered. Season 5 will adapt Make Me, Lee Child’s twentieth Reacher novel.

The story begins when Reacher arrives in the mysterious town of Mother’s Rest and teams up with private investigator Michelle Chang to search for a missing person. Prime Video has announced Amanda Ip as Michelle Chang, Jay Baruchel as Chief Buck Bauer, Ciara Bravo as Eunice and Kevin Durand as Nokes.

What Makes Gone Tomorrow Different from Earlier Reacher Cases?

Gone Tomorrow begins in an enclosed public space where Reacher must make a judgment before he has complete information. The opening highlights one of his defining skills: he reads posture, behavior and surroundings quickly, but he is not infallible. The consequences of acting on an uncertain assessment create a more psychologically complicated beginning than a simple stranger asking for help.

The story also places Reacher against opponents who understand institutions and political protection. Physical strength remains useful, but the case cannot be solved by locating one criminal group and overpowering it. Reacher has to determine which officials are withholding information, why several parties want the same secret and how past events shape the present danger.

For television, this structure supports an eight-episode mystery with changing alliances and delayed revelations. The new cast gives Reacher potential allies, suspects and adversaries whose true motivations are not immediately clear.
