Mars portrays a younger Maleficent in Descendants: The Rise of Red. ICYMI, Kristen Chenoweth portrayed the adult Maleficent in the original Descendants films, while Dove Cameron played Maleficent’s daughter Mal. Mars now adds their own distinct twist to the character’s origin narrative, bridging the gap between the past and the present in this fascinating environment.
Descendants: The Rise of Red began on July 12, 2024, and follows Red (played by Kylie Cantrall), the Queen of Hearts’ rebellious adolescent daughter, and Chloe (Malia Baker), Cinderella’s perfectionist daughter. In order to thwart an oncoming coup in Auradon, Red must team up with Chloe to travel back in time and stop an incident that would have serious implications.
Mars is an actor, filmmaker and musician. Mars was born on 21 June 1998.
Before becoming a household name on television, Mars set out on a journey to chase their dream of becoming an actor. In 2016, they travelled to New York City to train at the famed Stella Adler Studio of Acting, where they honed their abilities and prepared for future opportunities.
Mars’ creative abilities go beyond acting; they wrote, produced, and starred in the short film Celi-Yacked in Bushwack, which is a personal examination of life with Celiac Disease.
