Player 69 and Payer 70
Player 69 and Player 70 first catches the attention of audience in Episode 4: Stick to the Team when Sang-woo Player 218 approaches Player 69 to join his team for the third game – Tug of War in which the Players were asked to make a team of 10 people. But, Player 69 was with his wife Player 70 (Character played by Lee Ji Ha), so he mentions to Sang-woo that he has to stick his wife. Sang-woo wanted strong men only and he was avoiding female as he had the feeling that next game would require strength and he must make a powerful team. Sang-woo’s team already had female players and an old man and he needed no more female players, so he did not take Player 69 and 70 in his team.
In Episode 6: Gganbu, we see Player 69 again. The fourth game in which the players must make a team of two, Player 69 and Player 70 together joined hands. It was obvious, the pair will choose themselves only. But when they came to know about the game, they were left in shock. In fourth game, each player was given 10 marbles and after 30 minutes, the player who will end with the maximum number of marbles will win, while the other one will be eliminated, which means the other player will die. So, it was clear that one among the pair 69 and 70 was going to die. Player 70 was eliminated and Player 69 returned. Losing his wife, Player 69 was in grief and committed suicide.
