The Lord of the Flies Netflix cast is led by Winston Sawyers as Ralph, Lox Pratt as Jack, David McKenna as Piggy and Ike Talbut as Simon. Thomas Connor plays Roger, while a large group of young first-time performers complete the stranded schoolboy ensemble.
This guide is limited to the cast and characters. It identifies the central four boys first, then covers the supporting “big ’uns,” “little ’uns” and the adult actors who appear around the island story.

The four central Lord of the Flies cast members
Winston Sawyers as Ralph
Ralph is the boy who tries to create order and keep the group focused on rescue. Sawyers gives him an open, thoughtful quality that fits a character forced into leadership before he is ready.
Lox Pratt as Jack
Jack becomes Ralph’s principal rival. Pratt plays him with confidence, anger and a strong need for control, helping the conflict between the boys feel personal rather than purely symbolic.
David McKenna as Piggy
Piggy is the group’s most analytical voice and the character who places the greatest value on rules, planning and practical thinking. McKenna gives him intelligence and emotional vulnerability without reducing him to comic relief.
Ike Talbut as Simon
Simon is quiet, observant and unusually sensitive to the island and the people around him. Talbut’s restrained performance helps the character stand apart from the more openly competitive boys.
Roger, Sam, Eric and the older boys
Thomas Connor as Roger
Roger becomes one of Jack’s closest followers. Connor gives the character a watchful stillness that makes his growing cruelty more unsettling.
Noah Flemyng as Sam
Sam is one half of the twins commonly grouped together as Samneric. Flemyng helps portray the twins as loyal, gentle boys who are often pulled between fear and friendship.
Cassius Flemyng as Eric
Eric is Sam’s twin and shares many of his scenes and choices. Casting real brothers Noah and Cassius Flemyng gives the pair an immediate natural connection.
Cornelius Brandreth as Maurice
Maurice is one of the older boys who becomes part of the group’s changing power structure. Brandreth adds another recognisable personality to Jack’s circle.
Tom Page-Turner as Bill
Bill is another member of the older group. Page-Turner’s role helps show how quickly individual boys begin to align themselves with different leaders.
Rafael de Belligny as Robert
Robert is part of the larger schoolboy ensemble. De Belligny contributes to the sense that the island community is made up of distinct children, not an anonymous crowd.
The younger boys in the cast
- Lake Coleman plays the boy with the birthmark.
- Freddie Lee-Grey plays Percival.
- Beau Thompson plays Philip.
- Fred Jones plays Johnny.
The younger boys are important to the cast because their fear and dependence make the breakdown of the group more visible. Their limited power also helps distinguish them from Ralph, Jack and the older boys who compete for control.
Adult supporting cast
Rory Kinnear as Ralph’s father
Kinnear appears as Ralph’s father, adding an adult connection to the life the boys had before the crash. The actor is also known for No Time to Die, Men and The Diplomat.
Rochelle Neil as Ralph’s mother
Neil plays Ralph’s mother and appears in the material surrounding his family life away from the island. The actor is also known for The Nevers and Three Little Birds.
Daniel Mays as Fred
Mays appears in the adult supporting cast as Fred. His presence gives the series an experienced performer alongside the largely first-time young ensemble. The actor is also known for Line of Duty, 1917 and Good Omens.
Tom Goodman-Hill as Naval officer
Goodman-Hill plays the naval officer, one of the most significant adult roles connected to the stranded boys. The actor is also known for Humans and The Imitation Game.
The most notable feature of the Lord of the Flies cast is that the series places inexperienced young actors at its centre. Sawyers, Pratt, McKenna and Talbut carry the four character-focused episodes, while the supporting boys make the island society feel large enough for alliances, pressure and group behaviour to matter.
