David Beckham Documentary will have four episodes and it will premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, 3rd October 2023.
The four-part docuseries BECKHAM, directed by Fisher Stevens and produced by Academy Award winner John Battsek will cover both his personal and professional lives. The documentary series includes candid interviews with Beckham as well as his friends, family, and colleagues.
From poor working-class background in East London, he joined Manchester United in the 1990s. His status as a gorgeous guy who dated Spice Girl Victoria Beckham increased at the same rate as his reputation as a talented footballer who didn’t always perform well under duress.
But in the 11 years he spent with United, Beckham helped them become the best football team on the planet, albeit not without serious setbacks, including the infamous 1998 World Cup finals game in which Beckham was sent off with a red card after kicking Argentina’s Diego Simeone, ultimately leading to England’s defeat.
David Beckham will also speak about his 24-year marriage to fashion designer Victoria, with whom he has four children: Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12. In a short teaser movie, the couple discuss how they initially met, with Posh confessing that her pals would joke that she was’stalking’ Becks.
